Books include: How to do Shakespeare. A Doll’s House won the Drama Critics Award for Best Revival and Best Director in 1981, along with the Plays and Players Best Director Award which Adrian was jointly awarded for The Duchess of Malfi. Adrian won the Best Director Award at the Globe Theatre Award for A Winter’s Tale. In additional to numerous other international awards Adrian has received approx. 15 Olivier Award nominations and 2 Tony Award nominations. Adrian is Artistic Director of Old Globe Shakespeare Festival, San Diego.
